THE SPACE A cheerful storefront with tile floor, sponged-ocher walls and outdoor seating in front in warm weather. Street level, wheelchair accessible.

THE CROWD Lots of families early in the evening, couples and foursomes later, many groups in their 30s and 40s, most of them casually dressed. Staff is friendly, if sometimes harried.

THE BAR Entrance to restaurant is through the Boquitas Bar, a separate room with a few stools and high tables; the bar menu has 12 choices of snacks. Small international wine list, with more from Spain than other countries; bottles from $26; eight wines available by the glass, from $8 to $14; B.Y.O. as well, with $15 corkage charge.
